WELCOME TO SO DENTAL CLINIC
The Journey of a Sterile Instrument
At So Dental, your health is our priority. We follow a rigorous 6-step sterilisation protocol that exceeds standard dental requirements, ensuring every tool used in your care is 100% sterile.
01
Immediate Bio-Care (Holding)
Safety begins the moment a procedure ends. Instruments are immediately placed in a specialized enzymatic solution. This prevents organic material from drying, ensuring the subsequent deep-cleaning steps are perfectly effective.
02
Ultrasonic Deep Cleaning
We use advanced ultrasonic technology to reach where manual scrubbing cannot. High-frequency sound waves create microscopic bubbles that "blast" away debris from the tiniest hinges and crevices of our instruments.
03
Purified Rinse & Hand-Inspection
After the ultrasonic bath, instruments are rinsed with purified water and meticulously hand-inspected. Every piece is thoroughly dried to ensure no moisture remains before the final sterilisation stage.
04
Medical-Grade Sealed Packaging
Instruments are sealed into individual medical-grade pouches. Each pouch features a chemical indicator that changes color only when the perfect sterilisation conditions are met. These remain sealed until the moment your treatment begins.
05
Type-B Vacuum Autoclave
We utilize Type-B Vacuum Autoclaves—the highest clinical standard. By using saturated steam at 134∘C under high pressure, we ensure the total destruction of all microorganisms, including the most resilient bacterial spores
06
Daily Safety Validation
We never "set and forget." Our equipment undergoes rigorous testing and validation every single day. We monitor every cycle to guarantee 100% efficiency and absolute patient safety.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the water used during my dental cleaning safe?
Yes. We use advanced dental waterline treatment systems to ensure the water used in our drills and ultrasonic cleaners is purified. Our lines are regularly "shocked" and filtered to prevent the buildup of biofilm, ensuring the water is as clean as the instruments we use.
How often is your sterilisation equipment tested?
We perform safety validations every single day. This includes physical monitoring of every cycle (time, temperature, and pressure) and regular "spore testing"—a biological test that confirms our machines are successfully destroying even the toughest microbial life.
Do you reuse any "single-use" items?
Absolutely not. Any item labeled as "single-use" (such as suction tips, local anesthetic needles, or polishing brushes) is disposed of immediately and safely after one use. We never compromise on patient safety by attempting to reprocess disposable items.
What is a "Type-B Vacuum Autoclave" and why does it matter?
A Type-B autoclave is the highest clinical grade available. Unlike standard sterilisers, it uses a vacuum pump to remove all air from the chamber, allowing steam to penetrate deep into the most complex dental tools. This ensures that every surface—inside and out—is 100% sterilized at 134C.
How do I know the instruments being used on me are clean?
Every instrument set at SO Dental is sealed in a medical-grade pouch that is only opened right before your treatment begins. These pouches feature a built-in chemical indicator that changes color once it has successfully passed through our high-pressure steam autoclave, providing a visual guarantee of sterility.
